Our youngest and cutest friend showed up yesterday around cocktail hour (but we hadn't exactly waited for her to indulge). She made friends with Marion-Isabelle, then took her bath and had a quick dinner before crashing into bed in our room.

Thierry came home super late from work (around midnight) and he found some of his favorites (polenta with a quick ratatouille and fresh kumpquats for dessert). Margaux didn't bother us at all during the night and woke up around 7 am this morning, gave me a biiiiig smile so I picked her up, plopped her between us in bed and we all napped for an hour.

Now she's walking Teletubby style in Rude Manor with Thierry wrapped around her finger. She's managed to terrorize the cats and she cracks us up with her babbling which sounds like real words and sentences usually uttered at the right moment. It's either a coincidence or that baby is a genius.

My beautiful friend Kyle visited from Canada for a week.











I love his soft blond hair, his eyes, his smile. His huuuge strong arms that crushed me ever so often. Really, I'm not used to being the small one at all. He left yesterday, I miss him. He left good memories and maple syrup for my crumpets.

Paul and I just recently moved house again, unfortunately we are still renting, but its a very comfy little place and we have become quite at home here already.

The nicest bit is all the birds, we have four resident magpies that warble at us and once popped down to eat food from our plates!

Cockatoos galore as well, about 100 landed in the tree next door to us and made an enormous racket.

We are in the suburbs, but it feels relaxingly like the country : )

My long conversation with Tibi yesterday has boosted my morale. Seriously.

I don't like to be *that* person, you know, the über cranky bitch who doesn't even love her cat. Being a bitch is ok in my book, being nasty is just not an option.

Today, I shopped with a friend, gave long cuddles to the kitties, including her guest kitty, babysat Margaux who's currently asleep in our room and promised Thierry to stop being distant and colder than a dead ice queen. And drank three Bloody Marys to celebrate.

PFEWWWWW. Feels better.

I'm off to the airport in less than 3hrs. And i’ve got so much bloody stuff to do eeeeep. We'll stay 1 day in Malaga and then back to Brussels on Friday. Work, work... I really need some days off work :(. I will be back home next monday/tuesday. yay!

Besides imagining that inanimate objects all have little smiles and sneakered feet so they can walk, I also picture vegetables with little faces.

Sounds horrible for a vegetarian who slaughters carrots, bell peppers, zucchinis, tomatoes, etc. by the truckload ?

No, not really. I've decided that veggies and fruits are suicidal creatures who love nothing better than getting chopped and eaten by vegetarians who truly love them for who they are.

So whenever I cook, I envision veggies doing a conga line before jumping on the chopping board and diving into the wok. And they usually sing.

As my friend JM would say : "you're doing *really* better".

Yesterday, I dropped by my friend Renan who needed help photographing some Blythe dolls he plans to sell. He needs the $$$, so he's parting with a bunch of mint lovelies (more about that in a separate post).

But once he got around to his Kozy, he simply said there was no way he'd ever sell her, because it's a gift from Tibi and I.

I then realised that in the past, I've sold several dolls that Thierry had given me. And I almost sold the FT that Tibi gave me for my birthday...

I came home thinking I might not be as good a friend/wife/partner as I think I am. And Pepper, my FT, will return to the cabinet this morning.

She originally contacted me at the end of March for my Misaki Puppy Love shirt, shorts and FR Ayumi handbag-they were posted for sale/trade. I asked if she would be interested in trading my three items plus cash sent via mo for her nude Day Off Delight. She agreed and we exchanged addresses.
Weeks later not having received my doll and seeing her photo post "Fashion Victim" which included my three items I contacted her. She told me that she forgot to pm me to let me they had arrived followed by my doll was not sent as she gets nervous about trading and wanted to make sure my stuff would arrive first. She told me she would send my doll out right away in a flat rate box and it should get to me within a weeks time. It has been over twenty plus days since she stated that in a pm then disappeared. I have saved all her msgs from the first one as I knew she was new to trading,etc..obviously smart enough to get a couple good trades done first. Gah!
